My Child is Not on an IEP or Section 504 Plan
Before this incident:
My child’s teacher or other school staff expressed specific concerns about my child’s behavior to a special education director or administrator.
Response:
If misconduct occurs after a, teacher, or other school staff member expresses specific concerns about a pattern of behavior demonstrated by the child, the school must follow special education discipline procedures as if the child were already on an IEP.1
