Working Effectively with Diverse Families of Children and Youth with Behavioral Health Challenges
This webinar was held 1/23/2018
This webinar is designed for educators, administrators, social workers, children’s mental health providers and any other professionals working with families and their children and youth with mental health needs. Culture is embodied in the ordinary things we do- how we speak, greet each other, organize a meeting or provide a service. When important belief systems are breached, providers run the risk of offending the family and may set up barriers to positive outcomes. This presentation given by a unique panel of diverse parents who are also advocates and experts in cultural diversity, will share strategies they have found to be effective for building collaboration with diverse families.
