Independent journalist Mandy Matney, CEO of Luna Shark Media blends award-winning investigative journalism with inspirational representation. Over the last two years, Mandy and her team have relentlessly been bullied online by many people, including a former boss and coworker. There have been hateful messages, entire groups aimed at ruining her name and work. Mandy is committed to having the discussion about how isolating, upsetting and painful bullying can be and wants to bring light to the situation in all forms of media. |

I will be providing speaking engagements in elementary and high schools regarding bullying. I plan to collaborate as a Champion with the PACER'S National Bullying Prevention Center to engage, educate and empower students. When speaking with students I will use my Community Service Initiative Don't standby, stand UP: Empowering today's youth to become upstanders, to encourage them to sign the PACER'S Anti-Bullying Pledge. |
