  • Tech for Teens Club : Build your own 3D printed lightsaber

    Unleash your inner Jedi (or Sith) and learn how to assemble a custom mini lightsaber in this hands-on workshop! Students will learn how to wire an LED filament for a glowing blade and piece together the components to create their finished product. Tech for Teens is a workshop for youth with disabilities ages 12-20.
  • Navigating government and community disability resources

    Join us to learn about statewide disability resource networks to help you solve problems, navigate the systems, and plan for the future. This workshop will feature a guest speaker from Disability Hub to provide detailed information on the ins and outs of community resources and government programs.
  • Introduction to customized employment for young adults

Join us to hear from Margie Webb, MS, CRC, a customized employment specialist for Minnesota’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services, about flexible employment options for young adults with disabilities. She will explore how customized employment can meet both the needs of employers and the strengths, needs, and interests of the job seeker.
  • Getting help for children and youth with mental health needs

This workshop will explore informal and formal supports, county and state services, how to navigate medical care, and more.   • Navigating Minnesota waiver services

    This workshop will help parents and professionals understand the types of disability waivers available in Minnesota. It will cover who qualifies, how to apply, and what services they can provide. Participants will learn about key terms, the role of case managers and support planners, and other practical tips for navigating the system. Whether you’re new to waivers or looking for a refresher, this session will provide valuable tools and resources to better support individuals with disabilities.

  • Transitioning from early intervention to special education services

    When a child with disabilities turns three, they make the transition from early intervention to preschool and special education. This workshop will explain the difference between early intervention services and preschool special education services and provide helpful tips for making this change.
  • Executive function tools to support independent living

    This workshop will explore technology that helps support executive function for individuals with disabilities so they can increase their independence. It will also include a demonstration of apps and devices that support independent living.
