I Care Because

I care because i've been bullied to the point where the names got to me so bad, that i treid to end my own life. So many teens kill themselves due to bullying. If everybody stood up against bullies, we'd have no worries. But we're stuck, hurting, terrifed, and voiceless. This site is giving US teens a voice. A voice to stop the bullying. To stop the hurt. To stop all the pain these people are causing.

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but names can shatter your soul .

people who bully are usally bullied at home.

So if a friend comes to school with bruises don't hesitate to ask what happened and if they say they were bullied to the point of abuse tell someone..

I am a School Social Worker and I work with high school students in a Special Education Program. I see students with different abilities every day and I care about each and every one of them. I look at my students and see their strengths, but so many others do not do that. My students have been harassed, teased and bullied for being different for virtually their whole lives. It makes me sad and angry that I cannot do more to help prevent it.

Meghan, 30, Syracuse, NY

It gets a little weird when I get to school every morning because I remember the time I got bullied in class because I mixed up something. And then Cooper yelled out "hey guys! Jack mixed up his letters!" Everyone laughed except for Megan who stood up for me. So she made me feel better.

Bullying is a serious issue, but everybody is unique. We all have something different our size, shape, race, etc. I was bullied and sometimes it feels better just to keep it inside and you think nobody is there, but the truth is the majority of people have been bullied one way or another. Go to someone trust worthy a parent, teacher, counselor, etc. When you are online or at school think twice before you say/comment something. Think would you want to be that other person.
