I Care Because

I care because I was bullied and it didn't feel good. They try to make you feel like you are not smart and get to your friends. A girl who helps you came to my school it was very inspiring.

Nick, 12, New Hampshire

Sometimes I find my friend being bullied because of what she likes or dislikes. I can see how much it hurts her and it isn't ok. I try to stand up to the bullies and now we have a non-bullying club that some kids in our neighborhood go to. I also know what it feels like to go through it, and it isn't anything that anyone ever appreciates.

I care because I went through it in Middle and some in Highschool. I care because I saw people stand on the sidelines some laughing some just staying quiet. I care because I want to help others and not let them go through the pain and tourment I went through. I care because no one deservise to go through that. I care because you are worth it. I care because I can gladly say that it will get better. My life has made a turn for the better. Why? Because I did not stand on the side lines and watch someone bully others I stepped in and helped causing a chain reaction for them to get the courage to help somone else. I care because you can make a diffrence. :)

Megan, 21, Richmond Ky

I've been through very horrible situations that changed me. I was jumped by 4th graders when I was just 8. I was alone, never to be friended by anyone besides teachers and my parents. Bullying got to me so much to the point of breaking, and I nearly choked a kid 2 years older than me to death because I lost my temper. I don't have that problem anymore, but I'm afraid it will happen to my brother. He's only 7, but they pick on my brother sometimes, and he gets himself into trouble by fighting the kids. I really want this to stop, everybody I know is being bullied just because of who they are, and I hate it. Bullying is dangerous. It caused a few people to commit suicide because of this problem.

I've had a friend who was bullied severely and the pain that she felt is something no one should ever have to go through. It almost resulted in suicide and for someone to experience a feeling that strong is cruel and should not be tolerated.
