Emcees and auctioneer announced for PACER’s Benefit on April 27

MINNEAPOLIS: Alexis Rogers and Reggie Wilson from KARE 11 will emcee and Frank Vascellaro from WCCO will auctioneer PACER Center’s annual Benefit on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Alexis is the noon anchor and Community Relations Manager at KARE 11. She is an Edward R. Murrow and multi-Emmy® Award-winning journalist who founded Lisa’s Girls, a life skills and leadership community for BIPOC girls and women. She has previously anchored and reported in Indiana, Missouri, and Arkansas, and helped create and co-anchor a news magazine show in Cincinnati called “Let’s Talk Cincy.”

Her husband, Reggie, is KARE 11’s Sports Director. He grew up watching KARE 11’s sister station KSDK in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois area before pursuing his own journalism career throughout which he has reported and anchored in Ohio, Missouri, and Kansas. He visited Minneapolis for the first time in 2015 and is thrilled to now tell the sports stories of the Twin Cities.

Frank Vascellaro will join the pair as Benefit auctioneer. He has been an anchor in the Twin Cities community since 1996 and was awarded the 2011 and 2012 Regional Emmy® for Best Anchor. He co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. WCCO news Monday through Friday with his wife, Amelia Santaniello. In 2006, they became the first married couple to co-anchor a daily news program in the Twin Cities.

The event will celebrate and support PACER’s programs for children with disabilities and their families. It will feature live and silent auctions, a mission-focused program, and a performance from Goo Goo Dolls. For tickets or information, please visit PACER.org/Benefit or call 952.838.9000.
