I Care Because

Bullying isn't cool, it doesn't make you look or seem cool all it does is make someone's life worse..

Rayce, 13, Colorado

I have sort of been in the closet for my bullying. I never told anyone I was bullied because I was a afraid too and I didn't think people could understand what I was going through. I have been bullied for 6 years and it took me 5 years to finally tell someone that I was being horribly bullied. I need help.

Madi Johnson, 15, Minnesota

I know what it's like to be bullied. I was bullied growing up because I was never good enough, pretty enough, thin enough, etc.
They say that people who bully others do it because they're insecure and it makes them feel more confident. I don't understand how. They (bullies) know what it's like to feel deeply insecure so how does knowing that you're making other people feel just like you do make you feel better about yourself?

"I see it going on all around me and I hate it! What I hate the most is that I can't be my self. I get made fun of for haveing trouble in school and how I dress. I like to stay home as much as I can but I don't whant my parents to know what is going on. I also see my little sis getting made fun of all the time and I don't know what to do. And It really bugs me how I just go along with it when ppl are talking about my own family. I try to do something about it and it just gets worse and I get picked on even more. I just wish ppl could see how much the things they do and say hurt. I just want it to stop."

Rebecca, 14, PA

Bullying is never okay; despite how angry someone may make you feel, that doesn't give you the right to try to bring someone else down. That just makes you look sad, and unloved.
