Transition 2009: Moving Forward in an Era of Change — March 26 and 27, 2009

Held at: PACER Center

Come be inspired to move forward in your services for transition-age youth with disabilities and their families. This conference will provide you with practical strategies and the latest evidence-based information on transition. TATRA provides up-to-date, useful information to parent information and training projects funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration and the Office of Special Education Programs. Join us as we focus on making positive changes for transition-age youth and their families!

2009 conference sessions will explore

  • issues affecting young adults with autism in work and postsecondary settings
  • transition services provided through state vocational rehabilitation agencies
  • transition initiatives of Centers for Independent Living
  • state efforts to document post-school outcomes of students with disabilities one year after they have left the special education system
  • activities and materials of parent information and training projects currently funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration

The 2009 winner of the new TATRA Award for Excellence in Transition-focused Parent Training will be also announced.

Deadline for registration is March 6, 2009. The registration fee is $250. Space is limited. To register, or for more information, contact Andrea Moore at 952-838-9000 or by e-mail at andrea.moore@PACER.org.
