PACER Center’s Technology for Girls workshop series begins May 6
Minneapolis: PACER Center will present its Technology for Girls workshop series for middle school girls with disabilities on Saturdays, May 6, June 3, and July 22 at PACER, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington. These workshops are free and will take place each day from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
The schedule is as follows:
- Dough Creatures | Saturday, May 6
Participants will light up a room with electrifying dough creations, and learn about insulators, conductors, and circuitry. It is co-hosted by Eagan’s Green Girls robotics team.
- Coding a Robot | Saturday, June 3
Girls who are interested in robotics and coding will write their own code to guide a robot through a maze.
- Become a Detective | Saturday, July 22
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a detective? Girls will learn about areas of the brain, Morse code, and fingerprinting.
