PACER Center workshop in Worthington will focus on helping your child succeed in special education
Minneapolis: PACER Center will offer “10 Topics to Help Your Child Succeed in Special Education,” a free workshop for parents of youth with disabilities and for professionals. It will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington.
This workshop is also available online via Livestream on a computer or tablet.
Parents who participate in this interactive workshop will learn 10 important areas in the special education process that will help their child be successful. Parents will also be provided with four useful tools to help in the process.
Topics will include:
- Working with your child and the school
- Using special education data to help your child
- Effective parent and school communications
- Procedures to use when parents and schools do not agree
This event is funded in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.
