PACER Center offers housing resource and information fair for families of youth with disabilities

PACER Center is hosting its 12th Annual Housing Resource and Information Fair, a free event for families of teens and young adults with disabilities. It is on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 9 a.m. to noon, at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., in Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is required for this popular event.

It is important for parents of teens and young adults with disabilities to explore options for independent living and housing services and supports during their high school and transition age years. Families will have the opportunity to hear a keynote speaker, meet with service providers and discuss housing options, services, supports, and related issues for teens and young adults with disabilities. State and county representatives and staff of resource and referral organizations will be available to answer questions.

To register, call PACER at (952) 838-9000. In Greater Minnesota, call (800) 537-2237 (toll free) or visit PACER.org.

PACER Center is a parent center for families of children and young adults with any disability. PACER provides individual assistance, workshops, publications, and other resources to help families make decisions about education and other services for their child or young adult with disabilities.
