PACER workshop focuses on positive behavior supports
PACER Center is offering “Keeping It Positive: Meeting Behavior Needs in the Individualized Education Program (IEP),” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities. It is on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn.
Participants will learn new strategies for changing their child’s behavior. Topics include:
- Understanding behavior
- Developing a positive approach
- Using the IEP to meet emotional and behavior needs
- Writing a Positive Behavior Intervention Plan
