PACER Center workshop explores Microsoft Windows accessibility features

PACER Center is offering “Microsoft Windows Accessibility Features,” a free workshop for parents, professionals, and people with disabilities. It is on Thursday, July 30, 2009, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Advance registration is requested.

Through presentations and hands-on computer time, participants will learn about the accessibility features in Windows XP, VISTA, and Internet Explorer. For the hands-on portion, Windows XP will be used.

Each participant will receive a free Microsoft accessibility demonstration CD set.

PACER Center is a parent center for families of children and young adults with any disability. PACER provides individual assistance, workshops, publications, and other resources to help families make decisions about education and other services for their child or young adult with disabilities.
