PACER workshop on community inclusion features international disabilities speaker Judith Snow

PACER Center is offering “Building Community Inclusion: What Parents, Youth, and Schools Can Do,” a free workshop for parents, youth, and professionals. It is on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, Minn. Space is limited. Advance registration is requested.

Judith Snow is an internationally known author, lecturer, and organizer who has advocated tirelessly for the rights of all people—including those with disabilities—to participate fully in society. In this heartwarming presentation, she will explain how to build supports that nurture full participation in determining one’s own life.

Youth between the ages of 14 and 23 who have disabilities are encouraged to attend.

To register, call PACER at 952-838-9000 or 952-838-0190 (TTY). In Greater Minnesota, call 800-537-2237 (toll free) or visit the PACER Web site at PACER.org.

PACER Center is a parent center for families of children and young adults with any disability. PACER provides individual assistance, workshops, publications, and other resources to help families make decisions about education and other services for their child or young adult with disabilities.
