PACER Center workshop focuses on challenging behaviors in young children with disabilities
PACER Center is offering “Understanding and Addressing Challenging Behaviors in Your Young Child,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities from birth to age 5. It is on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m., in room 120 at the Science Laboratory Center at Winona State University, Winona, Minn. Advance registration is requested.
Judy Swett, PACER’s early childhood coordinator, will address:
- Brain development and behavior
- Different temperament styles
- Stages of development
- Strategies to help children get their needs met in acceptable ways
