PACER Center offers assistive technology workshop series
PACER Center is offering the following free workshops that demonstrate how assistive technology (AT) can help children with disabilities. The sessions are for parents and professionals. All are from 9 a.m. to noon at 151 Montague Hall, 1211 Ordean Court, University of Minnesota – Duluth, Duluth, Minn.
Technology to Access the General Curriculum: Universal Design for Learning
Saturday, May 17
Learn about universal design for learning and the technology that supports it.
Assistive Technology for Reading, Writing, and Math
Saturday, June 7
Receive an overview of AT supports for reading, writing, and math curriculums. The session includes demonstrations, hands-on experiences, and information on resources, such as Internet sites and technology vendor catalogs.
Building Capacity for Assistive Technology
Saturday, June 28
Participants will join local stakeholders, including parents, teachers, AT specialists, and others, to discuss building capacity for AT in the region.
